To Do Around the Village

The Village of Midway is very walkable, and we encourage you to plan to walk or bike while you are here.

Dining

Breakfast & Lunch: we recommend The Crossing Restaurant for a full breakfast, or you can visit The Spot or McMynn's Grocery for baked goods and coffee.

Meal Plans: Partnered with The Crossing, we offer a meal plan for $50/day.

The Crossing: show proof of your reservation at the Hotel Midway and receive 10% off your meal.

The Keg & Kettle Grill: open evenings only, closed Monday & Tuesday.

DIY and snacks: McMynn's Grocery Store, or The Spot for an amazing ice cream.

Check it Out

Social Games: Unplug and connect at the hotel. Play our selection of social games, or a game of pool in the bar room.

Disc Golf: The Midway Disc Golf Course is just across the bridge from the hotel. We recommend planning for 1 - 4 hours here.

Bike Around: A fantastic area for biking, whether around the Village or planning a long trail trip. Visit our bike around page to learn more.

Take a hike: There are great hikes right across the bridge from the hotel. Hiking to the Canada flag, which you can see from the hotel, is a popular destination and presents a view of the entire valley.

Geocaching: A fun treasure hunt activity, the Village of Midway has quite a few to go out and find!

Visit the Kettle Valley Museum: One of the best little museums you will ever visit with carefully curated displays, do not miss this one!

Entwined Trees Park: Living history, be sure to pay these trees a visit.

The Learning Circle: Located in the Entwined Trees Park, this is working art, as it offers beauty and a place to sit, reflect, and learn.

Norm's Rock Garden: An amazing local talent, you will pass Norm's garden a couple blocks West of the hotel. An absolute talent and must see, but please do not touch.

Ice-cream at The Spot: This is a must on our list every time we are in Midway. You will not regret it!

The Kettle River: Bring your floaties! Or your lawn chairs, and sit with your feet in the river for a lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon.

We respectfully acknowledge with gratitude that the Hotel Midway is situated within the traditional territories of the Syilx Okanagan Nation, (which includes the Sinixt), who have lived on, traveled through, and stewarded these lands since time immemorial. This region has long been a place of shared use, where these Nations have hunted, gathered, and sustained their communities through deep relationships with the land and waters. We honor their enduring connections, their stewardship, and their responsibilities to this land, and we recognize their rights and protocols that continue today.
